Rise of Piracy - Work in progress update


Ahoy Mateys!!

Its been quiet around here for quite some time so here's a quick update of what I'm upto these past few months!.

I have stopped updating the project here due to a limit to the size of the project that can be added. It'll eventually go on steam I hope so I'm not too concerned about updating it here :)

Gameplay wise in multiplayer very little has changed. I'm reworking the way the cannons fire currently, but most of the work ive been doing is around the single player campaign.  The idea being that you can quickly travel between points of interest and find fleets and islands to fight / invade / capture, building your fleet as you go.

I've started using new methods to create the Islands in the game. These will be for the single player campaign. As each faction will have a number of small / medium / large islands to invade, based on the player strength, and the fleet size that they have, they will choose targets for highest reward. I have 1-7 levels of island, as you can see in the updated screenshots, some islands are just sprawling with points of interest and loot pickups, whereas some are fortresses that are insanely hard to take and will require a large fleet in support. 

These will change how the game will be played alot and its becoming more like my vision of the mid-late game every day.
